Overview

Description

We're debuting our first Margarita Mixer! And like all flavors developed here at El Guapo, it includes a bit of lagniappe (French for a little something extra). We partnered with Burlap and Barrel to source Black Lime powder from a family farm in Guatemala. A versatile ingredient common in Persian cooking, the powder is made when fresh limes are sun-dried and then ground into delicious, tiny black flecks. We manufactured this mixer to include tiny flecks in every sip... similar to vanilla beans in real vanilla ice cream. Shake with an NA tequila or mezcal and enjoy over ice or combine with club soda for a non-alcoholic margarita alternative.

El GuapoEstablished 2017

We like to say we manufacture "everything but the booze". Our bitters, syrups and mixers are made with love in the capital of cocktails - New Orleans, Louisiana. Impeccable sourcing is our love language. We use the highest quality raw materials we can get our hands on to create the best elixirs possible. We regularly source from regional farmers (some are even family members!) And, we work with the best spice importers in the business. Our entire product line is non-GMO (certification pending) and there aren't any weird ingredients in our bottles or on our labels. No words you cannot pronounce, flavors, colors, extracts, essences, high-fructose corn syrup, soy, gluten, yadda yadda yadda. Our syrups and mixers are made with cane sugar. Our bitters are no-sugar added and vegan, too! All of our products are alcohol free. We also live on the front lines of climate change. With hurricanes, flash floods, abnormal summer heat waves and other weather patterns regularly affecting New Orleans, we understand the need for sustainable practices. We want to be as green as possible. Our labels are made from recycled craft paper. We bottle 100% of our products in glass and hand dip every bottle in wax instead of using plastic tear tape to cut down on single use plastics. Our CEO, Christa Cotton, is also on the board of Glass Half Full, our local glass recycling company and non-profit. One audacious end goal is to turn recycled glass into new glass bottles locally and while that is a long way from reality, these are the types of ideas we're thinking about and working towards every day. But quality is about more than activism and ingredients (though we certainly go above and beyond in pursuit of excellence in those departments). To us, quality also extends to how, where, and why we do what we do. We believe in good things made right, in a place that we love, by people who care deeply about what they’re doing and who they’re doing it for. Quality is being a part of your lives, adding flavor to your celebrations, and making our dreams come true in the process. Quality of product. Quality of purpose. Quality of life.
