Overview

Description

Yorokobi, translating to "joy" in Japanese, certainly lives up to its namesake! We were thrilled to find this exquisite matcha as it is one of the smoothest, most umami-filled organic matcha green teas we've come across.

While most organic matcha teas are very tannic and earthy, the care and attention to growing our beautiful Yorokobi result in a velvety, vegetal sweetness that is a joy to drink. We love how deep and mellow this rich cup is.

The official blog post about Yorokobi can be read here.

Mizuba Tea CompanyEstablished 2013

Take a Matcha Moment!® Mizuba Tea Co. is a woman-owned, direct-trade matcha company bringing truly exceptional Uji matcha from Japan to over 700 specialty retailers across the U.S. We are proud to be one of America’s only officially recognized Uji Cha Tea Dealers, working with small, family-run producers in Uji, Japan—the historic birthplace of Japanese tea culture and the Tea Ceremony. Since 2013, we’ve built long-term, personal relationships with our award-winning producers, visiting them regularly and partnering directly to preserve traditional Uji matcha craftsmanship. We are a platform for their work. Every Mizuba matcha is made from carefully shade-grown tencha leaves, slowly milled to create a vibrant, finely textured powder with depth, balance, and integrity. Our matcha is designed for today’s customer—whether whisked traditionally, shaken on the go, or served as a premium latte—making it an ideal fit for cafés, specialty grocers, and lifestyle retailers seeking authentic, high-quality Japanese matcha with a compelling origin story. When you stock Mizuba, you’re offering more than matcha—you’re sharing a moment of calm, culture, and craftsmanship rooted in centuries of Japanese tea heritage.
