Overview

Description

Thai-style roasted chili jam, with half the heat. Our Vegan version uses a mushroom alternative that still provides the same irresistible umami and sweet undertones that our Classic jam does. This is a key ingredient in many Thai salads - aka "yums" - and Tom Yum for its balance of spicy, sweet, tangy, and umami notes. She's sure to make your taste buds sing. Our Nam Prik Pao is different than your typical chili crisp or crunch, chiefly due to it being an actual jam, featuring real palm sugar and tamarind. It's utterly delicious and balanced with tangy tamarind and smoky notes of dry roasted chilis. With a base of fresh caramelized shallots and garlic, this is a perfect accoutrement to zhuzh up spreads, dips, stir-fries, and pasta. It's just as lovely straight-up on pizza, eggs, and our favorite - charcuterie boards! This sauce is small-batched in Chicago. No fillers, no artificial colors or stabilizers - just homestyle Nam Prik Pao.
