Funky's Hot Sauce FactoryEstablished 2019

Funky’s Hot Sauce Factory has been in business since 2019, but I’ve been making hot sauce for much longer than that. It all started in the early 2000s with my pepper garden in Santa Rosa, CA, where my family and I used to live. I had really fallen in love with growing our food, and especially peppers. I worked at Russian River Brewing Company at the time, and that’s where I learned all about fermentation. So I began fermenting the peppers and eventually experimenting with making some sauces. For years, I gave the sauces away as Christmas presents. Friends and family would tell me to sell it in stores, and so my wife and I finally took the leap in 2018! Nowadays, the peppers and other ingredients in our sauces are 100% Non-GMO and/or organic. We also purchase from local farms when possible, and we reserve our homegrown harvests for test batches. One of our core values has always been to produce great tasting, well-balanced sauce with loads of flavor along with the heat. We pride ourselves on delivering unique sauces to both hot sauce fanatics and those who have just begun to explore the hot sauce universe. In these next couple of years, we hope to move into our own facility, expand distribution across the US and into Canada, and develop recipes for other condiments and, of course, more hot sauce!
