Overview

Description

In the 1950s, a family doctor from Vallet with a passion for botany made an unusual discovery in his garden: a blackberry variety unlike any he had ever seen. By the end of his life, still unable to unravel the mystery of this intriguing berry, he entrusted his secret to his neighbor, Michel Sauvion. Captivated by the discovery and driven by curiosity, Michel set out to uncover its origins. After extensive research, he was astonished to learn that the fruit originated in California and was the result of a natural cross between two wild blackberry varieties and a red raspberry. Inspired by this remarkable berry—which he affectionately called his "truffle of red fruits"—and drawing on his renowned talent for creating exceptional recipes, Michel developed a unique flavor that he named **Muroise®**. Its distinctive and refined aroma was unlike anything else, convincing him to propagate the plants and begin cultivating them without delay. Muroise® quickly became an extraordinary success. The flavor first appeared in gourmet jams, then expanded into sorbets, fruit coulis, liqueurs, fruit jellies, and many other delicacies. Yet Muroise® still had more surprises in store. In 2012, a new generation embraced the adventure. Estelle Sauvion-Durand, Michel's daughter, took over the family business and joined forces with Magali Beck, the granddaughter of berry growers. Friends as well as mothers, the two women set out to preserve the family tradition while sharing the unique taste of Muroise® with a new audience. Their mission is simple: to delight your taste buds, awaken your senses, and introduce you to the world of Muroise® and its many delicious creations. Welcome to the sweet, elegant, and lovingly handcrafted world of **Muroise et Compagnie**.
