We’re Maggie & Sam, two Chinese Canadians who met growing up in Beijing. We started dating in high school and been doing life together ever since, from Montreal, to London, and now New York. No matter where we lived, one thing never changed. Bubble tea was always our thing. It got us through late night study sessions, exam weeks, long workdays, and sparked some of our favorite conversations. But over time, we found ourselves wishing there was an option we could enjoy more often. Something made with real tea, without all the added sugar, and one that didn’t cost $9 every time the craving hit. So we decided to make it ourselves. After more than a year of recipe testing with tea experts and food scientists, Chaqi was born. Every can is brewed with real tea, has no added sugar, and includes prebiotic fiber because most of us don’t get enough fiber in our daily diets. We’re not trying to replace your weekend boba run.
