Overview

Description

Alfabeto, the little alphabet letters, come from Rustichella d'Abruzzo, the family pasta maker founded in 1924 in Penne, Abruzzo, and now run by the fourth generation in Moscufo. They are made with durum wheat semolina and pure Apennine mountain spring water, and cook in about 7 minutes into small, firm letters that keep their shape in broth instead of turning soft. A classic Italian pastina that children love to spell with, and that adults keep in the pantry for quick soups. A steady everyday seller for Italian delis, specialty grocery, gourmet retail and cafes, and an easy add for kids' menus and soup programs in foodservice. The retail-ready bag fits the pasta set or a soup and broth display, and the playful shape gives parents a reason to pick it up over plain pastina. Cross-sells with chicken and vegetable broths, tomato sauces, Parmigiano Reggiano and butter, and the rest of the Rustichella d'Abruzzo pastina line.
