Chikka Chikka is a fun digestive snack that is made primarily from maple-roasted fennel seeds. It is a healthy alternative to gum, mints, and snack foods. Fennel seeds are also a natural breath freshener that is rich in antioxidants, and have been used for thousands of years in India and South Asia. Chikka Chikka contains no artificial flavors or colors or refined sugars, and is sweetened with a touch of pure maple syrup. We loved eating Indian fennel seed mixes, but did not like that they were mostly filled with sugar and weird artificial flavors and colors. So we would roast our own mixes using a mix of seeds and spices and share with friends who would ask where they could buy this magical blend. We wanted the packaging to be beautiful, convenient, and minimize single-use plastics.
