Cardamom / Earth / Clove. Inspired by the earliest-known cocktail bitters recipe from the 1800s, these classic cocktail bitters feature bold cardamom and warm baking spices, balanced with just a hint of citrus. Made from a 100% alcohol-free base of vegetable glycerin and distilled water, and a blend of aromatic herbs and botanicals, including cardamom as the dominant note, supported by hints of fresh lemon peel, clove and bitter, earthy supporting botanicals such as quassia bark and quassia, among others. Historically, Boker’s bitters were among the earliest aromatic bitters used in classic 19th-century cocktails, and this cardamom-forward interpretation draws inspiration from that tradition while remaining fully non-alcoholic.
