Family-owned and operated, Hebel & Co is one of very few halva manufacturers in the United States. We craft halva with an emphasis on using only the finest ingredients, from local California farms to award-winning bean-to-bar chocolates. Our halva is nutty, flaky, cottony, creamy, sesame tahini deliciousness. It’s complex, outrageously versatile, and frankly, delicious. No preservatives, no weird ingredients, and no artificial flavors. A brief history of Hebel & Co: Sometime in the twentieth century, two immigrants from the eastern shores of the Mediterranean set sail to the shores of Queens, New York, bringing with them their love of halva. They introduced their children to halva. The children grew up, and along with spouses and other family members, decided there should be a halva company that produces halva with ingredients that matter. As one can imagine, there was a little trial and error. We're talking 3000 years of history here! Alas, after years of building mind-boggling contraptions, testing countless techniques and ingredients, eureka!, the perfect halva is created. Hebel & Co is born.
