Organic Brown Basmati Rice For Everyday Meals At Country Life Natural Foods, we love staples that work hard in the kitchen without asking for much in return. Our organic brown basmati rice is a whole-grain option with a naturally aromatic bite, perfect for weeknight bowls, pilafs, curries, and simple sides. If you are looking for organic brown rice that feels special but still fits everyday cooking, this brown basmati rice is a great place to start. This is organic basmati rice made with one ingredient: brown basmati rice. It is also listed as Organic: YES and Non-GMO: YES. If you prefer shopping from home, this is an easy brown rice buy online option for your pantry, whether you are planning a weekly basmati rice online purchase or you like to order basmati rice online when supplies run low. Sizes And Options We offer this rice in 1 lb and 5 lb sizes. That makes it simple to try a smaller bag first, then stock up once you know it is a fit for your meals. It is a reliable choice for families, meal preppers, and anyone who wants a steady supply of natural basmati rice for bowls and batch cooking. Typical Nutritional Profile Brown basmati is a whole grain, which means it is minimally processed and keeps the bran and germ layers. Our product description highlights that this helps it retain more B vitamins and minerals such as phosphorus, zinc, and magnesium, and that it is richer in fiber than white rice. Brown basmati rice is also described as having a lower glycemic index than white rice, which can matter for people who are watching their blood sugar. Health Benefits Of Basmati Brown Rice A lot of people choose brown basmati for the balance of flavor and function. It has a nutty taste, a slightly chewy texture, and an aromatic fragrance that the product page compares to popcorn or roasted nuts. From a wellness standpoint, the whole-grain structure is the main advantage. Keeping the bran and germ supports fiber intake and can help meals feel more filling. It also fits well into health bowl–style meals, where rice is paired with vegetables, beans, proteins, and a simple sauce. Cooking And Usage Brown basmati cooks up fluffy, with long grains that hold their shape well. We like it for: * Grain bowls with roasted vegetables and tahini or vinaigrette * Curry nights, especially with lentils or chickpeas * Pilaf with onions, herbs, and toasted nuts * Stir-fries where you want rice that does not turn mushy A simple method: rinse, simmer until tender, then let it rest covered for a few minutes before fluffing.

Country Life Natural FoodsEstablished 1960

Country Life Natural Foods was founded on the vision of Ronald and Sylvia Crary, who believed food could be both nourishing and life-changing. In 1967, they opened Life Line Health Center, a vegetarian café and bakery in Grand Rapids, Michigan, that challenged convention—no meat, no smoking, and no set prices. Guests paid what they could, while receiving wholesome meals, encouragement, and sometimes even a new direction in life. Out of this simple beginning came Almond Delight granola, then a bakery, and eventually a factory in Pullman, Michigan. That small seed grew into Country Life Natural Foods Through the 1970s and 80s, the Crarys helped launch more than two dozen Country Life vegetarian restaurants worldwide, each combining healthy food with practical teaching, Bible studies, and community outreach. Many found better health—and faith—through these humble centers of service. Today, Country Life Natural Foods has grown into a trusted nationwide source of non-GMO and organic shelf-stable foods. From our warehouse in Pullman, we ship thousands of boxes each month, yet our foundation remains the same: a commitment to health, service, and Christ-centered values. For over 60 years, we’ve carried forward the Crary family’s mission—to make wholesome food accessible to families everywhere, while staying true to the principle of putting others first and caring for our bodies. What began as one couple’s prayer and passion continues to shape how we serve today.
