I’m Victor, founder and CEO of Bawi. I was born in Mexico—the youngest of three—and moved to the States when I was two. Growing up in South Texas, agua fresca was always around—at family gatherings, on the first hot day of the year, or just in a pitcher in the fridge. As a first-generation Mexican American, these flavors remind me of home and community. With Bawi, I’m celebrating that heritage by creating a sparkling, healthier twist on classic agua fresca—bold, refreshing, and rooted in tradition. This is the first time we’ve seen a better-for-you Latino-inspired beverage. My vision is two fold: for a Hispanic consumer to pick up an agua fresca that tastes like home while keeping health in mind, and to introduce the vibrant flavors of our culture to new customers alike.
