Overview

Description

While Bittercube is best known for gourmet bitters, our vanilla extract will find a quick home in your bar and kitchen. This luxuriously rich Vanilla Extract is made with vanilla pods grown in the hills around Nyanza (aka Lake Victoria) in Tanzania. The pods are sun-dried during the day, cured in wooden boxes overnight which yields opulent aromas of toasted hazelnut and date tannins. The vanilla is extracted into a blend of rum and bourbon, making it a versatile ingredient not only in the kitchen, but the bar as well. Use it in Manhattans, Whiskey Sours, Pina Coladas and Espresso Martinis to add a velvety texture and aroma. ABOUT THIS COLLABORATION We’ve partnered with Burlap & Barrel, a public benefit corporation building international spice supply chains. All of our vanilla beans are ethically sourced from Nyanza, Tanzania.

BittercubeEstablished 2009

Bittercube Bitters are created in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, by hand with real ingredients. No pre-made extracts or flavors (natural or artificial) are used in our slow-crafted products. Our mission is to create innovative, densely flavored bitters through thoughtful sourcing, meticulous production, and ongoing research - and to inspire elevated drinking experiences. Bittercube was founded in 2009 by two bartenders with a shared vision for what bold & balanced bitters could be. With that goal in mind, they set out to produce the most distinctive lineup of bitters in the world. Over the last decade, the company has built relationships with farmers, botanical suppliers, bartenders, and foodies across the globe, and continues to innovate with new flavors, collaborations, business lines and services. Over the years, Bittercube has been featured in the New York Times, Martha Stewart’s Everyday Food, Playboy, Imbibe Magazine, Timeout, Bon Appétit, Chicago Tribune, Bloomberg BusinessWeek, GO – AirTran Inflight Magazine, Southwest Magazine, NPR, and Daily Candy, among many other publications.
