Description
Our Bourbon Barrel Aged Maple Syrup is where craftsmanship meets indulgence. We start with our premium pure Maine maple syrup and carefully hot-pack it into recently emptied American oak bourbon barrels sourced from Wiggly Bridge Distillery, Southern Maine’s award-winning, craft distillery.
Over the course of several months, the syrup rests and matures inside the charred oak, drawing out rich layers of bourbon, vanilla, and caramel, along with subtle notes of smoky oak and spice. The result is a luxuriously smooth syrup that perfectly balances maple sweetness with bourbon depth.
Once the aging process reaches its peak, we gently reheat and filter the syrup to remove bits of oak and char, then hand-bottle and wax-seal each batch to preserve every ounce of flavor.
Perfect for pancakes, waffles, coffee, cocktails, or glazing meats, this syrup is a true Maine-made indulgence that elevates any moment from everyday to extraordinary.

Northern Reach MapleEstablished 2025
We are a small family operation located in Fort Kent, Maine. We started hobby-sized syrup production in the spring of 2018 growing each year until 2024 when we reached around 400-500 taps and decided to sell the syrup publicly. In 2024 we began the installation of our tubing infrastructure and arranging the sugarhouse to deliver from our 2025 season. While we now have a few more tapped trees under management, and the equipment we use is a little more complicated and specialized, we take care and pride in harvesting and transforming every bit of that golden goodness that goes into our bottles.
