Learn about Ning Chi
Shop the brand
In the lively scene of 1970s Taipei, Taiwan, Ning Chi stood out as the first and only Sichuan hot pot spot, tracing its origins back to a unique start in 1973. Mr. Ning, a war veteran, had moved from Sichuan, China during the Chinese Civil War and began with a simple beef noodle soup stand. However, a simple stand evolved into a full-service hot pot restaurant when he spiced things up by adding local Taiwanese flavors, turning it into a distinct experience that won over locals. As the sustained interest in Mr. Ning's hot pot became evident, it naturally evolved into a thriving franchise, establishing numerous stores across Taiwan, Hong Kong, and mainland China. This growth not only encompassed an extended reach in the culinary world but also sparked the creation of CPG that were made available in supermarkets globally. We introduced our CPGs to the market in 2000 with a specialization in hot sauce, hot pot condiments, frozen hot pot ready meals, and dry goods. Not only do we use the highest quality Chaotian Chili from the Southern region of Taiwan but also adopt unique technology to preserve the chili which sets us apart from other condiments brands. Ning Chi has continued to grow and thrive, with no plans of slowing down. Though we’ve come a long way from our humble beginnings, our dedication remains unwavering. Our mission is to deliver the highest quality by using the freshest local ingredients to craft simple and unique flavors that evoke nostalgic memories with every bite.
