Since moving to Austin in 2021, I haven’t been able to find a salsa to match the high quality recipe that has run in my family for decades. In my Mexican-American family, the quality of the salsa we use has always been of utmost importance to us. Unfortunately, the quality often found at the grocery store lacks in several ways. Retail salsa tends to run watery. It also lacks the flavor of authentic, homemade products. So I started making my own salsa from the family recipe.
