The Konopelski Meats story began in 1903 when Louis Konopelski, a Polish immigrant, arrived in America with nothing but a recipe for Polish Kielbasa. After settling in Reading, Pennsylvania, he began making and selling his meats in a small corner store. The business grew with the help of his sons Joseph and Francis, expanding into multiple grocery stores in the area. In 1947, Joseph and Francis carried on their father’s legacy. Today, the tradition continues with Francis’s son Patrick and grandson Ryan, who have taken the family business to new heights—offering their products in supermarkets, restaurants, and online, still using Louis’s original recipe.
