Description

Discover Something Truly Different with our Morro Bay Wildflower Honey This honey is harvested from the wildflowers that bloom near Morro Bay in the Pacific Coastal Hills. The nectar the bees gather for this smooth, full-bodied honey is predominantly from the Toyon Bush (also called Christmas Berry) and the flavors are enhanced by the yellow and blue wildflowers dotting the landscape. Smoky, with hints of molasses and caramel this honey’s distinctive taste will pair beautifully with light cheeses and fruit, and is bold enough to shine in marinades and BBQ sauces. The toasted nutty flavor is sure to intrigue your taste buds, expand your honey palate, and elevate any dish. A bronze hued honey, our Morro Bay Wildflower Honey has higher levels of antioxidants and minerals than many lighter colored honeys and we suggest a spoonful in tea, coffee, or smoothies each day to support a strong and healthy immune system.

True Gold HoneyEstablished 2017

True Gold is owned by mother-son duo Sarah and Tyler Sample, 3rd and 4th generation beekeepers. All our honey comes from our bee farm, Sample Family Apiaries. We constantly monitor our hives, ensuring they are healthy, strong and safe, so our bees can focus on the important work of pollinating and making honey. We harvest our honey by hand to keep it as raw and pure as possible, using sustainable practices to reduce waste and keep our impact on the earth to a minimum. All so you can enjoy honey that bursts with local flavor and has all its natural benefits intact. Because we have a hand in every step of the process, we know exactly where each honey is made and are able to offer 5 signature varieties: Avocado honey, Coastal Mountain Sage, Summer Valley Flower, our award winning Orange Blossom and Wild Buckwheat and 3 Special Reserve varieties, including our Good Food Award Winner Pozo Wildflower, and our Good Food Finalist California Wildflower Honey. We want to ensure every member of our human hive thrives. That’s why we donate 1% of our sales to families impacted by disability. Our business is beekeeping, our craft is making honey, but our true love is family. True Gold Honey is our way to spread some of that authentic goodness.
