Description

These amaretti are individually wrapped in elegant tissue paper and packaged in a vintage blue tin. These cookies make for the perfect anytime treat. The tins contains crunchy classic amaretti, soft chocolate amaretti and soft classic amaretti. Since 1718, the Lazzaroni family has crafted amaretti cookies in Saronno, Italy according to their family's traditional recipe. Chiostro di Saronno translates to "Cloister of Saronno," for the home of the company in a former Franciscan cloister in the center of town. Lazzaroni's legendary cookies, or Amaretti Di Saronno, are made from a mixture of sugar, apricot kernels, and egg whites. The results of Lazzaroni's traditional process are crisp, airy cookies with a distinctive bittersweet flavor that make them perfect with espresso, dessert wine, or aperitifs.
