Big Bear Honey is a small, family-owned honey company based in Zeeland, Michigan. We are passionate about pure, natural, specialty honey and the incredible gift God has given us through the honeybee. Our business actually began as a project to help support bees and share clean, delicious, local honey with our community — and it quickly grew into something much bigger. Big Bear Honey was founded by Jacob and Kelly Bonnema — who combined a love for family, nature, creativity, and entrepreneurship. We hand-craft unique honey experiences — from classic raw honey to specialty creamed flavors like Cinnamon, Spiced Chai, Lemon, Blueberry Crumble and more. We also create premium infused honeys such as Hot Honey, Bourbon Honey, Tequila Lime Honey, and others that have become favorites at markets and retail shops. Our brand voice is represented by “Big Bear” — a warm, trustworthy, protective character who stands for goodness, quality, and care. Big Bear’s message is simple — sweetness that’s real.
