If you avoid greens because they taste “grassy” or “weak”, Chunmee may change your mind with its earthy, uncomplicated, umami goodness. The first steep offers a lightly astringent aftertaste, which then fades in subsequent steeps—so the second cup tastes smoother than the first. Roasted overtones hang subtly around the edges, adding aromatic interest that lingers after each sip. Most green teas prefer steeping at 170°F to minimize bitterness.
