After graduating from the “Hogwarts” of cooking schools The Culinary Institute of America and working in some of New York City’s top kitchens, I spent years opening restaurants for Food Network celebrities around the world. When COVID hit, I lost my sense of smell and taste — my greatest tools as a chef. It was a devastating blow, but it sparked a life-changing shift: I left behind the Standard American Diet (SAD) and embraced clean, nourishing, whole foods. Over time, I regained my senses — proof that what we eat truly matters. This journey led me to create The Flavorsmith and our flagship brand, Alchemy of Food.
